ABSENTEES

Students need to be arriving to school by 8.30am to enable them to prepare for their school day which starts at 8.55am.

Students are not permitted to leave the school grounds unaccompanied during the school day. Parents/Caregivers must sign their children in at the school office if they are arriving after 8.55am and ALL students are required to be signed out of the school when leaving during the school day.

Students are not permitted to go home for lunch.

LEGAL REQUIREMENT

The law requires regular attendance of pupils. In the interest of safety, if your child is going to be absent, please notify the school at your earliest convenience. You can do this by simply calling the school office or completing the form below. We require notification before 9.00am if possible on the day of absence.

All absences are recorded. Where students have not arrived at school, or if their absence is unexplained the school will endeavour to contact parents to confirm the whereabouts of students.

If students arrive after class has commenced at 8.55am, they are required to sign in at the school office upon arrival.

ACCIDENT & SICKNESS

Every endeavour is made to ensure that the school is a safe environment however, accidents do occur.

When a child has been injured or feels sick and we feel they need to be picked up we will contact you as soon as possible. If we are unable to contact you we will call the Emergency Contacts on our list.

It is important that the school has current contact details (current telephone numbers for home, work and mobile) for both parents’ and those of a friend or relative for emergencies such as these. Please inform us if any telephone numbers change.
