Matamata Primary School is located in the heart of the Waikato, a town overlooked by the Kaimai Ranges and surrounded by rivers that flow through rolling green hills. Here we have created a nurturing environment that enables our children to learn and prosper across all aspects of education and development. Our guiding principles centre on our motto ‘Endeavour, Achieve Excel – Tohenga, Taea, Tino Hira. Together with support of our community and engagement of whanau, we deliver a platform that inspires learning to help build and shape our future generations.

This Thursday is the Interschool Cross Country. All students that have qualified and returned their permission forms will attend school on Thursday as normal, ready for the 8:55am bell. At 11:00am students will assemble together before departing MPS at 11:30am.
If you have offered your support with transporting students (even if just your own), can you please be at school, parked in the pools carpark behind the Turf at 11:00am. You would have received some driving forms last week, please ensure they are brought back to school when you come on Thursday.
If your child requires a booster seat, please ensure you send this to your child's classroom when you drop them off to school on Thursday.
Everything that students require was outlined on the original permission form sent home. Please ensure personal medication such as inhalers and epipens are sent to school if needed.
The Hinuera PTA will be selling at the event if students would like to bring some cash along.
If you are taking your child home directly from Gore Farm after their race, you must inform an MPS staff member that they are leaving.
Many thanks,
MPS Team
There are still around 30 MPS sports uniforms outstanding. Can you please check at home to see if your child still has one and if they do can it please be returned to the Office ASAP.
Good morning,
