KIA ORA AND WELCOME

Matamata Primary School is located in the heart of the Waikato, a town overlooked by the Kaimai Ranges and surrounded by rivers that flow through rolling green hills. Here we have created a nurturing environment that enables our children to learn and prosper across all aspects of education and development. Our guiding principles centre on our motto ‘Endeavour, Achieve Excel – Tohenga, Taea, Tino Hira. Together with support of our community and engagement of whanau, we deliver a platform that inspires learning to help build and shape our future generations.

School Hockey

Hockey teams have been finalised for 2025. Coaches and/or managers will get in touch about trainings and the upcoming Mini Tournament on Saturday 5th April.There is a coaching session and mini working bee this Sunday from 3pm at the College turf for any that are interested in learning more about the rules and are able to lend a hand.

Mini Sticks will begin next term, and you will receive further information once the draws are finalised.

MPS PTA AGM

MPS PTA AGM
The 2025 Matamata Primary School PTA annual general meeting (AGM) is to be held on Monday, 31st March at 7pm. This will be followed by our regular meeting. We welcome and encourage all parents, caregivers and whānau members to attend to hear more about our school, our school community and how you can be involved. You do not need to be able to attend every meeting, or even available during the school day. Most PTA members are working full or part time. Please, join us on the 31st to help continue the work of the PTA into 2025 and beyond - many hands make light work.
