ENROLMENT PROCEDURES

IN ZONE STUDENTS - Enrolment needs to take place before your child starts school.  We encourage parents who intend for their child/ren to attend Matamata Primary School to enrol shortly after their 4th birthday. Enrolment forms for in-zone students are available from the school office.

At the time of enrolment you must supply:

• A birth certificate for a child/ren born in New Zealand OR for a child/ren born outside of New Zealand a passport with proof of residency and/or student visa and parent work permit.
• A vaccination certificate (if your child/ren are immunised).
• Documentation regarding parenting arrangements for the child/ren where both parents do not live together (if applicable).
• Proof of address for in-zone enrolments.
• If your child/ren have previously attended another school it is helpful to have their most recent school report with their current learning levels. Once your child/ren have been enrolled at our school, we will contact the previous school for your child/rens records.

Once enrolled, please bring your child/ren to the school office on their first day.
 

OUT OF ZONE STUDENTS –  Enrolment needs to take place before your child starts school.  The ability to enrol out of zone child/ren depends on available places as determined by the school Board of Trustees. 

We encourage parents who intend for their child/ren (of any year level) to attend Matamata Primary School who are out of zone to contact the office directly.
